After decades of writing and reading poetry, I met Geoffrey Nutter. Starting in his Wallson Glass Saturday gatherings I became freer in my own writing and even more curious about the work of other poets. His amazingly creative prompts help me generate pages and pages of ideas and material for new poems, often surprising me at what, with the right stimulation, my unconscious can deliver. He creates a space for kindred spirits from around the world, of every age and level of accomplishment to enjoy a feeling of camaraderie and support. I then took one of Geoffrey’s six-week workshops where I benefited tremendously from the close readings and helpful feedback of the small group. Watching Geoffrey’s brilliant work with each participant made me decide to work with him as a private student, which is where great things began to happen for me and my work. He helps me find the poem within what I have written, always treating me with  kindness and my work with sensitivity. I never feel he is trying to make me different as a poet, just better. The reading he recommends is always spot-on to improve my poems and expand my knowledge of poetry. Everything Geoffrey Nutter does is a triumph for poetry!
